WHAT IS A TATTOO APPRENTICE?
A tattoo apprentice is an artist at the beginning of their professional tattooing journey. Many of our apprentices at Golden Koi Tattoos come from strong artistic backgrounds and have spent years developing their skills in drawing, painting, or other creative disciplines before transitioning into tattooing.

Apprentices undergo extensive training under the supervision of experienced tattooers, learning about machine handling, hygiene protocols, skin types, placement, and more. The final stage of their apprenticeship is hands-on tattoo experience— and that's where you come in.

At Golden Koi Tattoos, we offer our community the opportunity to support local up-and-coming artists by receiving a tattoo from one of our apprentices. These tattoos are performed under professional supervision to ensure both quality and safety, while helping our apprentices gain essential experience and confidence.
